I've been researching my family history off and on now for about ten years now. Last year I started up again and made some real progress. The information I found even got my mother and some of her cousins excited. I've decided that this is the year that I really focus on getting some research done and start putting together some kind of family history document. The best way to do that is to set some goals for the coming year; so here they are:
1. Start writing my blog (check)
2. Come up with a research plan. I have a tendancy to jump around following every bit of information I find. I want to stay focused on the subject I'm working on before moving on to the next one.
3. Share my findings with family.
4. Consider planning visits to Greensboro and Saluda.
It's a start. Back next month with a research update.
